How to Make a Feather Tree-A DIY Christmas Craft

How to Make a Feather Tree-A DIY Christmas Craft

Hey Friends!

Welcome! I’m so glad that you are here. I always enjoy our time together. Can you believe that it is almost November already? It’s shocking how fast time is flying-apparently, we are having some fun. We are talking Christmas crafts today, again-yikes! I can’t believe that it’s already time to think about Christmas. Today, I will show you how to make a feather tree -it’s a great DIY Christmas Craft.

A DIY feathered Christmas Tree.

These Feathered Christmas Trees are a great craft idea for just about anyone-it’s so easy to make and they are super affordable. For this DIY project, you will need:

1. Foam Cone (tree)-they come in many sizes and you can get packs of them. This 6-pack of foam trees is 3.8″x 9.5″, 2-pack 5.25″x 14.5″

2. Feathers- Assorted feathers 180 pieces, these white feathers would make a gorgeous tree, these colorful feathers are beautiful, ooh these feathers are so pretty.

3. Spray Paint-Black Krylon, Gold Spray Paint

4. Glue Gun-corded glue gun, cordless glue gun-this glue gun is on sale right now and would make a great gift.

Step 1: Spray paint the cones.

Step 2: Measure off the rows for the feathers.

Step 3: Trim and glue on the first first row of feathers.

Step 4: Continue gluing on the feathers using smaller feathers as you move up the tree. I’m such a symmetrical person, that the next time that I do this easy Christmas craft, I will use all the same feathers. Using different feathers pushed me too far out of my box.

Step 5: When you get all the way to the top, trim as to the decorative part of the feather and glue on the feathers and give a little squeeze to create a point. That’s it! This truly is a simple and affordable Christmas craft perfect for the DIY’er or the “not so crafty.” This craft makes a beautiful Christmas decoration for you mantle or centerpiece.

Not a DIY’er, but love the idea of a Christmas tree with feathers? This White Feathered Christmas Tree is just so pretty and so it this Feathered Christmas Tree. Ooh la la, this plum colored tree is gorgeous.

That’s it! I sure hope that you liked this post. I would love it if you would Pin It.

I always look at the feather trees in the store and they are so expensive. Thanks for sharing this project - now I can finally find a way to have one, or two, or three!!!
