Creating a fun and stylish bunk room for multiple kids that everyone will love is easier than you think! Here’s how.
Hey Friends!
Welcome! I am so glad that you are here. I always enjoy our time together.
If you’re like most people, you’ve probably been using the same guest bedroom for years.
But what if you could spice things up by creating a bunk room?
Not only would it be a fun and stylish change, but it would also provide more space for your family or guests.
In this blog post, we’ll show you how to create a bunk room that will be both comfortable and visually appealing.
Today, I am sharing How to Create a Fun and Stylish Bunk Room.
Come on, I’ll show you.

I have always dreamed of having a bunk room for my grandkids. I have such fond childhood memories of spending the night at my grandparents house. If you’re looking for ideas for a bunk room, you have come to the right place.
This bedroom had some great qualities. I loved the large windows that let so much light into the room. I also loved the size of the room. There were a few things that I was excited to change.
I have always wanted a bunk room for my grandkids. I remember spending the night at my grandparents house and there being 16 of us kids in one room, laughing and playing until we fell asleep. It was so much fun!
When my husband and I bought our lake home, I knew that I wanted to make my dream come true and convert one of the bedrooms into a bunk room.
Today, I am excited to show you the finished product!
How to Create a Fun and Stylish Bunk Room

If you’re lucky enough to have the extra space, a bunk room can be a fun and stylish room for your kids (or yourself!).
We’ve put together some tips on how to create a bunk room that is both comfortable and stylish. Keep reading for our top tips!
I added the charm and character of a cottage.. Hanging bead board panels by myself was too difficult for me to do by myself, so I found the best product ever! Bead board wallpaper.
Yep, you heard that right. There is a bead board wallpaper that is so easy to hang. It is thick enough to hide any wall blemishes, so there is no need to repair the walls before you hang the wallpaper-within reason, of course. T
his wallpaper is not only easy to hang, but it is affordable as well. It looks and feels just like real bead board-and it’s paintable! You can get it here. You will love it!
I painted the walls and trim in Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. It’s my all time favorite color. It’s a warm white that goes with almost anything. I always use a satin finish-it is easy to clean, but no too shiny.

Next, I added the sweetest vintage chandelier.
It is so much nicer than the builder basic lighting that was here before. I
love the details of this chandelier-the scalloped edge of the fixture reminds me of a flower. The shades are just the cutest.
I love this chandelier so much.

This bedroom was a kids bedroom before we bought the house-so there were some reminders that kids played and enjoyed this room all over the carpet.
A great and affordable solution was to add an area rug in the room.
I love how much color that it adds to the bedroom. It has so much color and design that if the kids spilled something on it, you wouldn’t see it. Perfect for a kids room.
You can get it here. For the 8 x 10 area rug, it was only $135- it was such a great deal.

The bunk beds are from Wayfair and were very easy to put together. You can get them here.
I love that they have a built in ladder and side rail- no more worrying about kids falling out of bed! I bought two of the same set of bunks.
When we put them together, we flipped the ladder on one of the bunks, so that both ladders could be at the ends of the beds.
My grand babies are going to have so much fun in this room. The older kids have already picked which bed they get.

I wanted to add lots of texture and interest in this bedroom, but I wanted it to feel restful and not busy. On each bed, I missed loads of different fabrics and patterns, but play so well together.
I used white and beige striped sheets, then I added a denim chambray comforter and pillow set. I inserted a comfy comforter inside the duvet cover. I love the gingham check pillow, it adds another fun pattern to the mix.
I think the room turned out so cute and my grandkids are going to love it.

I made these pillows to tie everything together.
I love that the colors of this pillow fabric is repeated all over the room and in the carpet.
The red piping really is an eye catcher. I will be posting on how to make these pillows soon.

Isn’t this the cutest? I wanted add a special touch that would tickle the kid’s hearts. You can get this decal here.

I found this vintage dresser at a local vintage marketplace. It has so many great details. And, I didn’t have to do anything to it. Isn’t it beautiful?

I filled the room with vintage artwork. The kids are really going to love the animal themed artwork.

I customized some curtains that I bought on Amazon.
I will share that post with you soon. I wanted the space to feel warm and comfortable-just like grandmas house. I
added new blinds and customized some store bought curtains.
The woven wood blinds that I chose add warmth and texture to the room.
They are made in the USA with 100% Natural Materials. They are super easy to install.
