How to Decorate a Fall Table Setting with White Pumpkins

How to Decorate a Fall Table Setting with White Pumpkins

Hey Friends! I’m so glad that you are here today. Woo hoo! I went on a walk this morning and it was 48 degrees. Do you know what that means? Fall is just around the corner and I can officially bring out all of the Fall decor, like I don’t already have the inside of my house decorated. Ha. I have been waiting a bit longer to decorate the outside for Fall, I don’t want my neighbors to think that I’m crazy. Anyway, today I am joining a very talented group of ladies and we are sharing some great Fall Decorating Ideas. If you have come over from Celebrate and Decorate, welcome. I am going to show you the tablescape that I created using white pumpkins.

Simple and elegant Fall table decor.

Whether you are setting your Fall table for two or ten, these Fall decorating ideas will work perfectly on your dinner table. I went out to the garden and clipped some eucalyptus and white hydrangeas and knew that they would look so pretty with white pumpkins. Come on, I will show you how I put it all together.

I started with a simple burlap table runner and topped it with a eucalyptus “garland.” Don’t you just love eucalyptus? It makes everything feel so whimsical and elegant. You can easily find fresh eucalyptus at your local grocery store or you can use faux eucalyptus-either way, it will be a gorgeous base to your table decor. Here are some great options for faux eucalyptus, here, here and here.

Again, I used my woven grass chargers, these are simple, versatile and affordable. You can use them in so many different tablesettings. You can get them here. These gorgeous natural wood chargers would be a great option, as well. I topped my woven grass charger with a beautiful white charger, I couldn’t find the exact chargers that I have, but these chargers are amazing.

Tucking a fresh oak or maple leaf on your table setting adds a simple elegance.

Next, I added a simple cream colored cloth napkin. I used vintage plates, but these plates and these plates are a great option. I put a fresh maple leaf from my garden on the salad plate and put a small faux pumpkin on top. Look at this place setting set, it makes me giddy.

I love the combination of the fresh eucalyptus, the white pumpkins and the warmth of the candles.

For the centerpiece, I created a “garland” by laying fresh eucalyptus from one end of the table to the other end, then I topped it with fresh white and limelight hydrangeas. You can use faux hydrangeas as well. Then I tucked in pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins and flameless candles.

Wait until you see this gorgeous house. You will love it.

Transforming this spacious Dallas home with it’s European graciousness and splashes of the unexpected, is something of a Collins & Sweezey specialty. Martha describes the aesthetic of this particular home as “Louis XVI with transitional pieces and contemporary, so it has a really good balance. It’s a very Southern home—columns, red brick—but when you walk inside it’s got a twist.”

  6. Renae, This is such a classic look! I love this green and white color scheme for early fall! My favorite thing is the simple little green oak leaf tucked with the white pumpkin on the plate stacks. You set the most beautiful tables and this one is gorgeous! I pinned this one! Beautiful interiors don’t have to come with an outrageous price tag. My style is what I like to call Vintage French Farmhouse, I love mixing decorating styles, especially opposites like the glitz of a chandelier dripping in crystals with a chair upholstered in worn aged leather. Refined, yet not too formal-but, livable, elegant traditional design, adding warmth and vintage elements.
