How to Decorate your Patio for the Fourth of July

How to Decorate your Patio for the Fourth of July

Hey Friends!

I am truly glad that you are here today. Oh how I love spending time with you.

I love the Fourth of July, it’s one of my favorite days of the year. I love the traditions that we do as a family each year to celebrate the birthday of our great country. We always take one of our vintage cars, decorate it for the Fourth of July and drive it through the parade in our little town. Then we head home for a BBQ, complete with my specialty-Blackberry Cobbler. Play some yard games and do fireworks. See DIY yard Yahtzee post, here.

I also love to decorate, so a patio, a holiday and any chance that I get to decorate-are a match made in heaven. I’m going to share with you our Fourth of July patio decor with you today.

Oh how I love the rocking chairs and American flags. It’s just shouts Americana to me.

Sorry gilrs, but I just may have gotten all of the flags that Amazon had to offer. I love to decorate with flags for the Fourth of July. I line up flags all along all of the window boxes all over the farm. At last count, there were over 100 of them. Get white rocking chairs here.

This is the first thing that see as use drive into our driveway.

This is the entry to the carriage house. I love this area, as it is a wonderful welcome as you arrive up to our home. On both sides of this walkway is my rose garden. Each summer it’s just so pretty as the roses bloom. The gated trellis has Clematis growing over it and the trellis behind is covered in Wisteria. Get bunting here.

Get black urns here.

I love to mix new and old, refined and casual.
This is the cookhouse. In Oregon, we get a lot of rain-so a covered cookhouse is almost essential. When we bought this property, this building used to be a hot tub house-we converted it into an outdoor kitchen, Get similar barstools here.
The outdoor fireplace is a great place to gather with friends and family.

When we rebuilt our patio, we added this fireplace. I love to sit around it all year long. I see it from my kitchen window, so I love to decorate it for the seasons and holidays. Get Lanterns here.
