Friday Favorites 3.17.23

Hey Friend!

I am so glad that you are here, welcome.

Come on in and let’s spend some time together.

Each Friday, I am going to share a few of my favorite things from the week.

Things from my life, from around the web, things that make me smile or catch my interest.

Thank you so much for joining me.

I have been away from home for five weeks.

I was on the east coast spending time with family and helping with a transition.

What a joy it was to get to see them for so long.

The thing that I love about having family so far away, is that you get to spend 24/7 with them.

You get to experience what home life is really like for them.

You get to do bath time with the kids.

You get to do bedtime stories and tuck them in at night.

You get to be there when they wake up in the morning.

It is all such precious time spent.

What I absolutely dislike about family being so far away, is that I don’t get to see them often.

And “goodbyes” are torture.

I have dislikes “goodbyes” for a very long time.

When my son was in college in California and I lived in Florida, I would travel across the country to visit him.

When I would leave, and sob like a baby, he would say out loud how many times I have cried when saying goodbye.

That number has grown so large, that we have lost count.

My son has lived long distance for 16 years now.

The “goodbyes” just don’t get any easier.

What I have learned to make them a bit easier, is to plan a date for the next visit.

It gives me something to look forward too.

In the meantime, video chat is amazing.

Do you have family that live far away?

What do you do to stay in touch?

What have you been up to this week?

I would love to hear all about it in the comments below.

I found some great stuff from around the web and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Come on, I’ll show you.

Did you know that Ben and Erin Napier from Home Town, have a beautiful country home? See it here.

Did you also know that they have a beautiful line of wallpaper? I didn’t. I love it.

I have two sons that live out of state and have babies. It is never easy. I am grateful our one daughter lives close with her kids. WE still see the others a few times a year, but its not so easy doing all the raveling.
