We started by building an outdoor fireplace.

It gets chilly in the evenings in the foothills, so an outdoor fireplace and heaters are a great idea.

You will need: outdoor furniture, end tables, throw pillows, Planters, topiaries, wreath, twinkle lights, outdoor heaters, dining table and chairs for four, black and white striped umbrella, rocking chairs and lanterns.

After the fireplace was built, we leveled the the patio area and added a flagstone paver across our entire patio area.

It’s durable and easy to clean.

I love that it has texture on the pavers as well, the texture helps keeping our guests from slipping.

I love the pavers, they are so pretty.

We created several outdoor sitting areas.

The main area, front and center, is right in front of the fireplace.

We wanted a sofa and two chairs with ottomans.

We also added end tables for a place to set out drinks.

The throw pillows as softness.

We also have a small eating area on the patio.

A dining table and chairs for four.

It is perfect for eating breakfast outside, or for having our dinner.

It’s a great spot.

I love the black and white striped umbrella, it adds great shade over the table.

I love the planters on the fireplace hearth with the topiaries in them. They add so much character.

I love wisteria.

It is so beauttiful.

I attached cables to the arbor around the fireplace area, the wisteria vines are trained to grow across the cables, creating a wonderfully cozy seating area.

We added outdoor heaters on the arbors as well, they are wonderful for a chilly evening.

Ah, what a lovely way to have enjoyed some time outside in the sun and comfort of your own patio area!

Hi ~ we just had our dream in ground pool installed a couple years back …. Bought some beautiful “outdoor” patio furniture - and then I even made a unique concrete bench, along with 3 4x4 pieces of wood - used them to slide through the concrete blocks, to sit on - of course I have cushions to sit on …. I had my husband sand down a piece of flat privacy fence wood and rounded the the 2 ends of it - then I stained and sealed it…. It is hung above the concrete bench and I used 3 little hook screws into it. I hang seat cushions from them, so now when someone leans back, they don’t feel the wall of our home, but a soft cushion instead. My only heartache is …. In Florida, we get ALOT of rain …. And a lot of Pollen …. Pollen and rain/dampness plays HAVOC on cushions! I spent a lot of money on top of the line cushions!! Which, I had to buy a beautiful large container pool box to place the bench cushions in …. Wrapped in plastic bags …. And my newly bought patio furniture is covered in expensive weather furniture covers to protect them as well …. Thank goodness we have a covered outdoor patio as well ….. which we enjoy - it’s heartbreaking though to look out and see missing bench cushions and covered patio furniture due to the nasty rains and staining that pollen brings. Ugh. I think we have used this furniture maybe 4 times since our pool went in …. But I LOVE seeing your pics of your outdoor area and furniture!! Stunning would be an understatement!! Your work is top level. Thank you for sharing!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!
