Bon chance!

Today, I am sharing How to Bring in a Bit of the Beautiful French Countryside.

Come on, I’ll show you.

Each month, I join a great group of bloggers for a Pinterest Challenge.

We start with the same inspiration picture, then we put our own twist on it.

Today’s inspiration pic comes from Michelle from The Painted Hinge.

Michelle was a huge inspiration to me, as she was one of the first bloggers that I started following.

She had so many great ideas.

You can see more of her project, here.

I love that Michelle has tied up dried florals as her backdrop.

I also love the set of drawers that she decorated around.

I also love that she put this vignette on a beautiful side board and has loads of terra cotta pots andflowers.

It’s all just so pretty.

The Pinterest Challenge is so fun every month.

It really pushes me to try new things.

The challenge is hosted by the lovely and witty Cindy from County Road 407.

If you are coming over from Wendy at WM Design House, welcome!

I am so glad that you are her.

Isn’t Wendy so talented?

I love everything that she does.

How to Bring in a Bit of the Beautiful French Countryside

Do you ever find yourself daydreaming about the rolling hills of a French countryside complete with rustic farmhouses and fields of lavender?

Maybe you can remember the aroma of freshly baked baguettes wafting through market stalls, or getting lost in cobblestone alleys lined with colorful shops.

For those who don’t have the luxury to escape to France at this time, there is still hope for some part of La Belle Vie in your own home.

With makeover tips such as choosing classic decor pieces, emphasizing natural materials, and adding touches of blue and yellow color schemes; we’ll show how easy it is to bring in a bit French country style.

I love this vignette.

It is so reminiscent of the French Countryside that I love so much.

The vintage wicker picnic basket, the weathered vintage garden pots, the topiaries.

I love it all.

Michelle used twine to tie up some dried flowers for her background, I used faux lavender-it’s just so sweet.

She also used a wooden box with drawers, I don’t have one of those, but I thought that a brown wicker basket would fill the same space and give a warm feeling to the vignette.

Then, I went down to the greenhouse and grabbed a bunch of garden pots and topiaries.

I would love it if you would check out my Amazon Live for this Thursday, here.

I harvest real birds nests from around the farm in the Fall.

I love using them in vignettes around the house.

Then, I added a sweet little bird and a boxwood wreath to up the cuteness factor.
