How to Choose the Perfect Stone Wallpaper

Hey Friends!

I’m so glad that you are here. Do you ever get stuck on an idea and then can’t concentrate on anything else? I woke up thinking that I not only need to wallpaper my bedroom, but that I should wallpaper every. single. room. So, this is my idea, I want to add stone wallpaper to every outside wall of my house, the walls with windows, not the walls that but up to another room. I want it to look like it’s a stone cottage. So, how do I choose the perfect stone wallpaper? Here are some ideas, you can help me choose the perfect one.

I want a stone wall that adds character, but that doesn’t overwhelm the room. I really like the soft colors in this wallpaper. I see a very relaxing bedroom with creamy linens and a gorgeous white fireplace. This wallpeper feels so serene.

This wallpaper looks so athentically French Counry. I see a well worn leather wingback chair, a warm plaid throw and a great book next to the fire, when I look at this beautiful stone wallpaper, but I definitely don’t want it to be too busy. Did I mention that some of the rooms have very tall walls and vaulted ceilings?

I really like this one as well, for the very same reasons that I liked the first wallpaper, but do I want the stones show throw the mortar? Is it just too creamy? It definitely feels Old World to me. This may be a contender.

This wallpaper definitely does something for me. I love the warmth of the stones. When I see this wallpaper, I think of a warm French Country kitchen with a lovely large range with a bubbling copper pot cooking a delicious meal. This is definitely one of my top choices. I’m quite symmetrical, so I’m not sure if the uneven rocks will drive me crazy or not.

This one is a lovely choice as well. I think that there might even be a bit of gold in there, which I love anything with gold in it. But, I’m not sure if the stones are rustic enough, does this look like concrete blocks to you? I’m not really getting the warm French Country cottage feel.

I really like the symmetry in this one and I like that it has a bit more color in it, but again, I’m not really feeling the warm French Country vibe.

Did you notice what I did there? I couldn’t focus on work because I’m dreaming of wallpaper. So, I wrote a post about it, making it feel like I was actually working. Great plan, huh? I’ve spent hours scanning wonderful French Country inspired wallpapers. I’m one happy girl.

So, what are your thoughts? I’m very excited to see what the final wallpaper choice is, and what the house looks like after it’s done.

Blessings to you,

Renae

Beautiful interiors don’t have to come with an outrageous price tag. My style is what I like to call Vintage French Farmhouse, I love mixing decorating styles, especially opposites like the glitz of a chandelier dripping in crystals with a chair upholstered in worn aged leather. Refined, yet not too formal-but, livable, elegant traditional design, adding warmth and vintage elements.
