Add some autumn charm to your porch with this easy DIY fall garland. Made from natural materials like leaves and flowers, it’s a simple way to dress up your home for the season!

Hey Friends!

Welcome!

I am so glad that you are here.

I always enjoy our time together.

As the leaves start to change color and fall from the trees, it’s time to start thinking about festive ways to decorate your home for Fall.

I have always admired beautifully decorated elaborate garlands on storefronts or gorgeous large houses.

This year, I finally made one for my front porch.

Today I’m going to show you how to create a simple and easy DIY Garland for your front door using materials you probably already have around the house, that will transform your porch into a festive autumn scene.

You only need a few supplies and about 30 minutes!

Come on, I’ll show you.

The Perfect DIY Fall Garland for Your Front Door

Today, I am sharing The Perfect DIY Fall Garland for Your Front Door.

It’s officially fall, and that means it’s time to start decorating your home for the season.

One easy way to do this is by hanging a garland on your front door.

I’m going to show you how to make a DIY fall garland using items you probably already have around the house.

I love this time of year.  The fall season is the perfect time to add front door decor to your porch.

There are so many different ways to decorate that it could be quite overwhelming.

You could add a beautiful wreath with traditional fall colors and a burlap ribbon.

But why not expand your fall décor ideas and create a beautiful fall garland with a harvest look with mini pumpkin, eucalyptus stems, artificial leaves, natural elements and bright colors to add a personal touch and a warm welcome to your entry door.

The best part is that you can find all of your supplies at the dollar store, local craft store, hobby lobby or thrift store.

Let’s get started!

Get into the autumn spirit with this easy and festive DIY garland for your front door.

First off, let’s talk supplies.

To make this DIY fall garland, you will need adhesive hooks like command hooks, chicken wire, faux pumpkins, floral picks, greenery picks, green garland, fall leaf floral picks, wire nippers, and work gloves for handling the chicken wire.

Make sure you have all of these items on hand before you get started to prevent any delays.

Once you have all of your supplies ready, it’s time to get started!

Begin by adding adhesive hooks to your door frame.

We recommend doing this a few days before you start the garland to ensure the hooks are secure.

We suggest using hooks like these.

Step Two: Next, use wire nippers to cut your chicken wire into the length and width you desire.

We cut our wire to 80 inches long by 24 inches wide for the two sides.

However, your front door’s measurement across the top may vary from ours.

Finally, curl the chicken wire in, tucking the ends to the back and hang the wire on the hooks.

Now that your base is done, it’s time to get creative!

Add two eucalyptus garlands on each side of the door as we did to create a beautiful natural look.

Then, add in some Maple Leaf picks and small garlands on the top of the door to create a seasonal effect.

More great ideas for your front porch decor:

-Use a grapevine wreath for your wreath form.  Add corn husks, wood slices , small pumpkins and faux leaves to create a beautiful fall wreath  this autumn season.  Use wire cutters to cut the pipe cleaner or floral wire that you use for attaching the decor to the wreath.

_or, why not decorate a picture frame and hang it on a command hook for your front door wreath.

-front door basket with faux flowers and birch branches to add a rustic look.

Step Five: I hung two eucalyptus garlands on each side of the door.

Next, add in the pumpkin picks to add some charm and depth to your project.

The fun doesn’t stop there though; it’s time to add in the flowers and leaves!

We used floral bouquets, sunflower bouquets, and mixed bouquets to create a stunning autumnal vibe.

Cut up all of the floral picks and put them into three piles.

One pile for the top of the door, and one pile for each side of the door.

Be sure to keep these piles as similar as possible so that your garland looks balanced.

We hope you had as much fun making it as we did.

Isn’t it starting to look amazing?

I am already dreaming out how I am going to make the Christmas Garland this holiday season.

Step Eight: Now, I get to add all of the fun stuff, the flowers and the leaves. I used two of these floral bouquets. I used one of these sunflower bouquets. I used 4 of these mixed bouquets, they come in a pack of two.

I cut up all of the floral picks and put them into three piles.

One pile for the top of the door. This pile didn’t need as much, because it was a shorter length.

One pile for each side of the door. I tried to keep these piles as similar as possible so that my garland would look balanced.
