A simple guide for creating a warm and inviting fall mantle.

  1. Pumpkins! You just can’t go wrong with pumpkins. I love using all shapes, sizes and colors.
  2. Garlands. Garlands make a great base for styling a fall themed mantle.
  3. Fall florals. I used some fun Squash blossom picks for this mantle decor.
  4. Candles. I love using candles on my mantle all year long.
  5. Faux fruit. It reminds me of the fall harvest.

I love having a large mirror over my mantle.

It adds elegance and space to the room.

You can get a similar mirror here.

I recently added these vintage sconces from Etsy.

I love the sparkle.

I start decorating the mantle with a garland.

I am using a eucalyptus garland, you can get it here.

I attach it using command hooks.

Next, I added the pumpkins.

I had a bucket of old faux pumpkins in the barn that had seen better days.

So, I painted them a terra cotta color and did a whitewash over them.

They looked just like terra cotta pumpkins until I sprayed them with a gloss sealer.

Next time, I will either spray them with a matte finish spray or not spray them at all.

I love using my vintage brass candlesticks.

I keep a look out for them in vintage marketplaces.

I love that they are all different.

I love the candle light in the evenings.

It’s so warm and cozy.

You can get brass candlesticks here, here and here.
