However, sometimes they just don’t quite fit your style. In this blog post, we will show you how to customize your store bought curtains to fit your unique style! I had two goals for changing these curtains- I needed to make them longer and I wanted the make the tops of the curtains more interesting.

I started by measuring from the floor to the ceiling to see how long I needed the curtain panels to be.

I bought two pairs of curtains. I cut off twelve inches off of the bottoms one pair of the curtains and 26″ off of the other pair of curtains.

If you’re looking for a way to add some personality to your home décor, consider customizing your store bought curtains. Adding trim, fabric flowers or even tying a ribbon around the curtain rod can make a big impact on the overall look of your room. Plus, it’s a great way to use up leftover fabric from other projects! Y

ou can add lace, ribbon, or even fringe to make them unique and reflect your personal style. Not only will this transform the look of your curtains, but it will also make your room feel more like yours.

So don’t be afraid to get creative and have some fun with it!

I sewed the 12″ piece to the top of the curtain panel, please see the YouTube video for full instructions on how I Customized the curtains. Then I sewed the 26″ piece to the bottom of the panel.

Another way to customize store-bought curtains is to sew on some additional fabric panels. This is a good way to add pattern or color to your curtains, and it’s also an easy way to make them look fuller.

Finally, you can also use fabric paint or markers to add your own personal touches to the curtains. With a little creativity, you can easily transform store-bought curtains into something that looks unique and custom-made.
