What Do I Need to Make a Beautiful European Style Copper Pot Rack?

You will need a copper pipe, pipe cutter, rebar, copper “S” hooks, drill, drill bits, hooks, copper spray paint, end caps and sand paper.

How Do I Create a Beautiful European Style Copper Pot Rack?

Copper has been popular in interior design for centuries due to its classic look, durability, and versatility-it’s the perfect material for creating something stylish and practical like a pot rack.

Building one yourself will also give you great satisfaction knowing that you made something beautiful with your own hands!

In this blog post, we’ll show you step-by-step how to craft an elegant copper pot rack that will become the focal point of any kitchen— keep reading for tips on getting started!

Step 1: Measure how long you want your pot rack. Make sure you leave enough room for the end caps and the hooks to hang the pot rack.

Step 2: Measure the copper pot to your desired length and cut it with the pipe cutter. You will set the pipe cutter on your mark, tighten the cutter, and turn the cutter around the pipe. You will need to tighten the cutter after two turns around the pipe. It will create a clean cut.

Step 3: Hold the hanging hook up where it will go and mark the screw holes with a pen. Then, using a drill bit just smaller that the size of the screws, pre-drill the holes.

Step 4: It was such an awkward spot, that we screwed in the hooks first, then removed them. This made it so much easier for when we would install the copper pipe.

TIP: To remove the wording from the copper pie, use a 220 grit sand paper and sand it off. This will also shine up the copper pipe.

Step 5: Next, we added the hanging hook, and the end cap on one end of the pipe-and the “s” hooks, the hanging hook and the end cap on the other end. This part will definitely take two people. My copper pipe ended up being 62″ and was way too long for me to handle by myself.

Crafting a copper pot rack is a fun and easy project that can add both style and function to your kitchen.

Step 6: Hang your pots on the “S” hooks. These are the copper pots that I bought. I love them.

This whole project cost me around $42. I bought extra “s” hooks and end caps and I will use the left over copper pipe to make another copper pot rack at the lake house.
