Hello Friends! I’m so glad that you are here! I’m also glad that that it is spring and the sun is shining! I had a lot of fun creating a garden tablescape this week and I’m excited to share it with you.

It has been a very long year and a very long winter. I have been dreaming of my garden, getting my hands back in the dirt and getting my veggies growing. So, this is what I came up with for now. It’s still just a bit too early to plant yet.

I recently bought these green cabbage plates and bowls and I love them so much. However, I wanted a bit more interest in my table setting, so I bought these pretty white plates.

I added lots of fun garden items-vintage gardening tools, a copper watering can and gardening gloves. I also went to the local produce stand and bought lots of veggies. Can you guess what we will be eating all week?

I layered my place setting with a woven grass charger, then the green cabbage dinner plate, the pretty blue cloth napkin and then topped it off with the cabbage bowl.

I didn’t have enough of the cabbage bowls to go all the way around the table, so I used two different kinds of cabbage bowls, and I really like the extra added texture. I couldn’t find the exact bowls that I have, but I thought that these were cute and they come in green or pink.

These bunny place card holders (these are similar, but not the same bunnies that I have,) are so cute! They were perfect for holding a packet of garden seeds. There is also a very funny back story to these little guys-I had found them in a magazine and tracked them down, I loved them so much and I really wanted them. However, I had forgotten that I told my husband that they would make a cute Easter gift. Long story short, we had gone out of town to meet our newest grandson. When we got back home, I had a package waiting for me-yep, you guessed it. There were a set of twelve of these cute little bunnies. I was so excited to set the table with them. When my husband came in he was very confused. He was the one that had bought them for me and was wondering why his package hadn’t shown up yet. Oops! At least he knows that I love them. I also love packages-any package left at my door I assume that it’s mine.

What a sweet story, Renae! Isn’t it funny how we think all the packages are for us (because we order!)?!! The bunnies are very cute and I love the majolica cabbage dishes!!! A friend in California collected them in the green and white, so pretty!
Really enjoyed your table and pinned several photos (of course!). Will look for your post for next week’s SYS. <3
Enjoy your weekend and happy gardening (even if it's just all weeding this time of year),
Barb 🙂
