By using a few simple supplies, such as sphagnum moss, pruning shears and plants, this timeless decor will add interest and beauty to any outdoor area.

I was lucky enough to get this vintage urn for only $10.

The bowl of the urn broke off from the base and they marked it down from $65.

What a steal, right?

The first thing that you need to do is to add the floral foam to your urn or planter.

You want to make sure that it is firm and sturdy enough to hold the topiary.

I made this topiary in a blue and white planter.

My friend Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse inspired me to make this fun topiary.

If you are new here, welcome.

I am so glad that you are here.

I’m Renae and I love all things home, French Country and life on the farm.

Next, just add the wooden skewers.

It just can’t be any easier.

Now you will need to slip the wreath onto the skewers.

Add more skewers where you need them to create a sturdy base.

Then, tie the wreath onto the skewers.

You could also use a hot glue gun and hot glue for this step.

Now, it’s time to add in your greenery.

I used several stems, so I put a couple of the whole stems at the bottom of the topiary.

Then, I cut the branches off of some more stems and added them around the wreath.

Make sure that the stems all connect, as a real topiary is one whole plant.
