How to Make Patriotic Bunting From Drop Cloths

Get in the patriotic spirit with this easy, affordable DIY! Learn how to make festive bunting using drop cloths and prepare for a show-stopping decor at your next Memorial Day or 4th of July celebration.

Step 1: I bought 9’x12′ drop cloths. I measured them into 3 foot sections and marked it.

Step 2: Then cut them into 3′ strips.

Step 3: Next, I used a tape measure and marked them into 3 1′ sections.

Step 4: Then, I used blue painters tape to tape off what would be the res stripe and the blue stripe.

Step 5: Next, I painted the blue stripe and the red stripe.

I did two coats of paint and let it dry completely.

Super easy right?

Step 6: I drilled a small hole where I wanted to place the cup hook.

Step 7: Then, I used needle nosed pliers tho tighten the cup hook into the railing.

Step 8: Then I gathered the end of the bunting and tightend a ziptie around it.

Step 9: Next, I just slipped the zip tie over the cup hook.
