How to Beautifully Style Your Hutch for Spring

How to Beautifully Style Your Hutch for Spring

Hey Friends!

I’m so glad that you are here. I’m excited to share with you my spring refresh in my hutch. Sometimes, it’s hard to come up with how to style your hutch in a fun new way each season, I will show you how I styled it for spring. Spring makes me think of greenery and new life, so you will see a lot of green in my cabinet.

Such a fun spring refresh.

I started with putting the green cabbage plates in the back, then I put smaller vintage salad plates in front of them on each shelf throughout the hutch. I love how it looks to layer the plates. On the top shelf, I stacked some small cabbage bowls on a stack of small vintage plates. I put a small silver pitcher (this isn’t the exact pitcher that I have, but this is similar.) and a small white pitcher on a stack of vintage books. I also, tucked in a little bird nest.

The green cabbage plates add so much color to the vignette.

On the top shelf, I put another beautiful white pitcher stacked on some vintage books and some more cabbage bowls. On the second shelf, I have a stack of vinatge salad bowls, vintage green and brass candlesticks, a super cute bunny place card holder (these aren’t exactly the same as mine, but they are adorable.) On the bottom shelf, I have a small urn with the tiniest birds nest in it, a wicker basket with greenery, a stack of vintage bowls atop vintage plates. I love greenery and I use a lot of it in my designs. Here, I have some faux rosemary, ferns and plums.

I love the mixture of the vintage silver, the greenery and the glass cloche, it adds so much interest.
This soup tureen is one of my favorites. It’s vintage Ironstone. It’s in perfect condition and I bought it for only $20. What a deal!
I thoroughly enjoy adding a bit of fun into my vingnettes.

On the bottom shelf, I again have the cabbage plates and vintage plates in the back. I put a stack of tiny vintage bowls and filled it with figs. I used my large cabbage serving bowl and I tucked in some faux fig branches. Here are some options for faux greenery, here, here and here. I also tucked in some gold bunnies for a bit of whimsy.

I hope that you enjoyed seeing the spring refresh of my hutch. I love decorating it for each season.

I loved your video and how you've styled your hutch, Renae!!! My china hutch is small and I've been looking for years (even when I was in England at antiques stores and thrift shops there!) for a larger hutch that I could display my china and goodies in. It's out there somewhere/somewhen... ;) I love yours, though, and it is stunning with all your cabbage plates, bowls and other vintage china pieces. Love the bunnies, too.

Happy to feature your lovely post at tonight's Share Your Style #300 for you. <3 Hugs, Barb :)
