This blanket is so easy to make!

You do not use any kitting needles!

Just use your fingers.

You are going to love it.

Step 1-Moved some furniture, so that you have a large flat area to work in. It will be so much easier to do on a flat surface. I tried doing it in my lap and it was not fun.

Step 2-Lay out the first row of loop yarn to determine the width of your blanket.

My blanket measured six feet by seven feet and I used nine skeins balls of yarn.

I used Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Yarn, and it is so soft.

You will love it.

Step 3-Lay the second row just above the first row, pulling the top loop through the bottom loop. Make sure not to twist the yarn as it will affect the look of your blanket.

When you come to the end of your skein of yarn, you just tie the end of the first skein to the beginning of the second skein.

Then cut off the long ends neat the knot.

That’s it.

Easy peasy.

PRO TIP-Take your time, as it could be easy to skip a loop. Be sure to flip the blanket over and check the back for twisted loops as well.

Step 4-Then just keep repeating this until your blanket is the desired length.

PRO TIP- it’s makes it easier if you lay out the yarn so the loops are flat each time you start a new row.

Step5-Finish the end of your blanket by binding it off. Start with the first loop in the row and place the already knitted loop through the next loop. Continue all the way to the end, then simply tie it off.

Now it’s time to make the pompoms!

Decide how many pompoms you want on each end of your blanket.

I love this Pom Pom Maker because the pompoms are so easy to make.

Step 6-Open the pompom maker and wrap the regular yarn, not the loop yarn, around the pompom maker until it is well covered on each side. Close the pom pom maker until it snaps.

Step 7-Cut the yarn along the outside of the round base, by sticking the scissors into the grove to get an even cut. Don not open the pompom maker at this point.

Step 8-Cut a six to eight inch piece of the regular yarn, loop it through the cut area and pull it tight and knot it. Follow package directions for best results.) Do not cut the ends of this piece of yarn, as you will use it to tie the pompom to your blanket. Open up the pompom maker and pull out the pompom.

Step 9-Equally space out your pompoms and tie them onto your blanket with the long ends of yarn. Then, cut off the extra yarn to match the length of the pompom. I added eight pompoms on each end of my blanket.
