Beautiful French Country Master Bedroom Makeover

Beautiful French Country Master Bedroom Makeover

Hey Friends!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I’m sharing my master bedroom makeover with you today. This house had such great bones and it was the perfect size for our family, the decor was a quite outdated, but underneath the rubble-there was a diamond.

This is what the bedroom looks like now.
This is the “before” picture.

This bedroom was a great size. I loved that it had a fireplace and a wall full of windows that looked out over the farm. The design was way too 1980’s for my style.

A fireplace is an amazing thing to have in your master bedroom, and I loved that it was the focal point as you walked into the room. What I didn’t like about the fireplace was that the dark brick was visually heavy, as were the built in cabinets.

This is much more my style.
I love the serene feel that I get when Iwalk into my bedroom.

The cabinet at the end of the bed holds our television. We have a remote control that raises and lowers the tv. I’m so thrilled that the tv gets hidden away when it’s not in use.

I thoroughly love to decorate in neutral, calming colors. I add interest by adding greenery, texture and accessories.

We have four very large windows and a French door along this wall. I hung oatmeal colored drapes from floor ro ceiling.
It’s wonderful having a sitting area in the master bedroom. We sit here quite often and talk about our day.

Beautiful. Where did you find the cabinet that raises and lowers your TV? I saw one along time ago when I was cleaning someone’s house. I’ve often thought how nice it would be to have one hidden away.

  3. This is stunning Renae! What a beautiful transformation. I love your bed and your linens look so cozy too. From your seating area to the way you have your tv hidden to the gorgeous fireplace – it’s fabulous. I love it all! Hugs, CoCo

Absolutely beautiful! Exactly my style as well :). Your bed is everything I’ve been looking for- where did you get it, if you don’t mind me asking?

    1. I bought it years ago from Ethan Allen. Sadly, they don’t have it anymore.

Beautiful interiors don’t have to come with an outrageous price tag. My style is what I like to call Vintage French Farmhouse, I love mixing decorating styles, especially opposites like the glitz of a chandelier dripping in crystals with a chair upholstered in worn aged leather. Refined, yet not too formal-but, livable, elegant traditional design, adding warmth and vintage elements.
