One of My Favorite Pastimes

Hey Friends! I’m so glad that you are here. Going Antiquing is one of my favorite pastimes, I have had so much fun these last couple of weeks, that I thought that I would share my found treaures with you.

My heart pitter patters when I see a fluer de lis, but when I see a black one that is three feet tall, my heart really gets to fluttering. It was such a steal, so that makes it even more fun. Then I found these fluer de lis sconces that were onlt $24, it was an incredible find. I hung them togeether in the greenhouse. I am one happy girl!

Railroad Antiques in Sherwood, Oregon

I found this antique store a few months back. This is where I found the fabulous pair of bronze lions. Anyway-while I was there last time, I noticed a gorgeous old barn light, but I didn’t know what I would do with it. Fast forward a couple of months and my husband and I decided that we would like to build a barn this summer. You will never guess what happened next.

My beautiful barn light.

Not only did they have the barn light that I had come looking for, but they also had a second one. I was in barn light heaven! The wrought iron light frame is about four feet long, so this light is pretty substantial.

Another fabulous find.

And, then… the best thing ever happened yet again. While I was walking around waiting for my lights to be taken down, I noticed the most wonderful weather vane. One knows that you can’t have a barn without a cupola and a weather vane. Boy, was I excited!

Vintage Nest, Oregon City, Oregon

I love this little antique shop in my home town. I always discover something fun here. I wasn’t really looking for anything in particular, until… the handsomest gentleman bunny caught my eye.

Isn’t he adorable!

Then there were other bunnies that wanted to come home with me as well.

They all found a lovely little nest on my kitchen island.
Antd then this little guy wanted to come home with me as well.
Curiosities, Tigard, Oregon

While I was waiting for the antique store with the barn lights to open (did I mention how much I love those barn lights?) I came upon this antique store.

And, wouldn’t you know it, that whole heart beating faster thing happened all over again. I’m just not sure if all of this heart beating faster is good for my health—but, I’m sure willing to risk it. Did I mention that I also have a “thing” for bronze lions as well?

Here’s to falling in love at first sight. Bonus points if it’s in an antique store.

Happy Spring and Blessings to you,

Renae
