A Weekend at the Gorgeous French Country Chateau

A Weekend at the Gorgeous French Country Chateau

My hubs and I are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary this month. Unbelievable, right? How can I be old enough to be married for 35 years? Anyway, we decided to spend some time at a chateau in the mountains to celebrate. This chateau was so beautiful, that I thought that I would share it with you.

This is such a stunning entrance. We were so excited to get here.

I love the gas lit sconces and the stone walls.

The top of the staircase was unbelievable! Just look at that chandelier and ceiling.

The rounded dining room from outside. Doesn’t this like a wonderful place to eat?

The dining room from the inside. The woodwork throughout is absolutely stunning.

Looking into the living room. The fall decor is so atypical, yet oh, so amazing.

Sitting near the fire in the living room on a snowy afternoon was so cozy and comfortable.

Another cozy room to relax in, read a great book and enjoy the view. Look at that see- through fireplace. We just couldn’t get enough of the views, looking out across the snow was intoxicating.

Our bedroom suite was wonderful. This bathtub is solid marble, I wish that I could take this home with me. I have never seen anything like it before, so beautiful.

We woke up to ten inches of snow one morning. I was so excited, I could hardly wait to get outside. We took many wonderful walks in the woods, along swiftly flowing rivers and enjoying each others company.

I hope that you enjoyed seeing these pictures. It was truly a winter wonderland and a trip that I won’t soon forget. I hope that you are able to get out and enjoy the outdoors. I’m finding that I’m enjoying the cool crisp weather more and more.

Hugs and blessings to you,

Renae

Sure would love to have seen that bathtub?? Did you mean to post that? I love the snow and winter so very much! So far I’m enjoying your blog as I’m a new subscriber. I would love to wake up to that much snow again someday. Where is this chateau? Does it have a name? I grew up partly in Buffalo NY so I am familiar with snow. Haven’t lived there in many years but sure would love to have a winter home one of these days. I don’t have much family left up that way. One Aunt and the cousins which I haven’t seen in over 50 years. My parents moved us to California when I was 11. There was snow in the mountains which we lived just a couple hours away from so at least when I had the urge I could go there and be satisfied.
