Welcome! I am so glad that you are here. I always enjoy our time together.

I love a great side dish recipe, especially if it is quick and easy. But, most of all it has to be delicious.

I have a wonderful treat for you-this is one of my all-time favorite veggie side dishes.

This recipe is perfect for a special occasion or holiday, like Thanksgiving or Easter- or just for a regular weeknight dinner at home with the family.

Today, I am going to show you How to make a Quick and Delicious Sesame Green Beans and Bacon Recipe.

What You Need to Make Sesame Green Beans and Bacon

You will need fresh green beans, chicken stock, bacon, sesame seeds, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and butter.

Step 1: Wash green beans and snap off ends. I put them straight into the double boiler after I snap them.

Step 2: Pour in chicken stock. Cook beans until crisp tender. Make sure not to over cook the green beans. Drain off chicken stock.

Step 3: While the beans are cooking, chop the cooked bacon strips, mince garlic and gather ingredients.

Step 4: Add bacon, sesame seeds, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and butter. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Enjoy!

Quick and Delicious Sesame Green Beans and Bacon Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. Fresh Green Beans
  • 4 c. Chicken Stock
  • 8 slices Bacon, cooked, chopped
  • 1/2 t. minced Garlic
  • 1 T. Sesame Seeds
  • 1 T. Soy Sauce
  • 1 1/2 T. Brown Sugar
  • 1 T. Butter
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Wash green beans and snap off ends.
  2. In a double boiler on medium heat, add green beans and chicken stock. Cook until green beans are crisp tender. Don’t overcook green beans. Drain off chicken stock.
  3. Remove the steam pot from the double boiler and put green beans back into the pan.
  4. Put back on the burner at low heat. Add bacon, garlic, sesame seeds, soy sauce, brown sugar and butter. Season with Salt and Pepper. Heat through.
  5. Enjoy!
