What do I need to make The Best Sweet Potato Clam Chowder Recipe?
You will need Clams, chicken stock, garlic, coconut milk, dried onions, sweet potatoes, carrots, celery, non-dairy butter, salt and pepper.
This recipe is so easy, it will be ready in no time.
How do I make The Best Sweet Potato Clam Chowder Recipe?
Step 1: Dice your sweet potatoes, celery and shred your carrots.
Step 2: In a stock pot, add butter, onions, celery and garlic. Cook until aromatic.
Step 3: Add in the clams, sweet potatoes, coconut milk, chicken stock and seasonings.
Step 4: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until sweet potatoes are tender.

The Best Sweet Potato Clam Chowder Recipe
- 5 small Sweet Potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 box Chicken Stock
- 3 T Non-dairy Butter, divided
- 1 1/2 c Carrots, shredded
- 5 ribs Celery, diced
- 1 T Dried Onion
- 1 T Garlic, minced
- 2 cans Coconut Milk
- Salt and Pepper
- 3 cans Clams, do not drain
- 2 T Arrowroot powder
- 1 c Bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Fresh Chives, chopped
- In a large stock pot on medium high heat, add butter, celery, garlic and onions. Cook until aromatic.
- Add clams, sweet potatoes coconut milk, chicken stock, carrots, bacon and salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until sweet potatoes are tender.
- In a small bowl, add arrowroot powder and a tiny bit of water. mix well. Add to the chowder to thicken.
- Add butter and chives.
