The Best Winter Salad Recipe-Oh So Delicious!

There is nothing better than having the dining room table full to the brim of your loved ones and the families favorite holiday recipes. I try to have some recipes that are incredibly easy to make to lessen the time it takes and the stress of entertaining during the Christmas season. Today, I am sharing The Best Winter Salad Recipe, it is oh so delicious! Come on, I’ll show you.

The comfort foods of the holidays can sometimes be so heavy with creams and sauces. I love serving a great salad to provide a break from the heavier holiday favorites. This salad is chock full of flavor and healthy goodness.

A few simple ingredients for the best winter salad.

Here is what you need to make this festive salad; baby spinach mix, red grapes, dried cranberries, pecans, avocados, crisp crumbled bacon, ripe pears and pomegranate arils. This combination makes for a great meal in itself.

How to Make The Best Winter Salad Recipe!

Step 1: Grab a big beautiful bowl and start by adding the salad greens. If the leaves are large, I tear them into smaller pieces.

Step 2: Using a pairing knife, cut the grapes in half. Then add dried cranberries and pecans.

Step 3: Peel and dice the avocado.

Step 4: Add in the bacon. When I cook bacon, I always make more than what I need at the time. That way I can have extra bacon to use in other recipes.

Step 5: Add in the pomegranate arils. I love adding these in recipes during the winter months. They are delicious.

Step 6: Toss the salad, then slice the pears and decorate the top of the salad with them.

Step 7: I make the salad dressing with equal parts of Meyer Lemon Olive Oil and Anjou Pear Balsamic Vinegar. It is so good and it’s super easy to make.

The Best Winter Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 c. Spinach Salad Green Mix
  • 1 c. Red Grapes, sliced
  • 1/2 c. Dried Cranberries
  • 1/2 c. Pecans
  • 1 Avocado, diced
  • 4 slices of Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 c. Pomegranate Arils
  • 1 large Pear, sliced or diced
  • 1/2 c. Olive Oil
  • 1/2 c. Balsamic Vinegar

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients, except olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  2. You can use the pears to decorate the top of the salad.
  3. In a small pitcher, mix olive oil and balsamic vinegar and stir.
  4. Enjoy!
