1. On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, lay out pecans in a turtle shape-head, two front legs and two back legs.

2: Warm a caramel in your hands just enough to be able to flatten it a bit to fit on the turtle.

3. Put the chocolate and shortening in a small bowl and heat it in the microwave until the chocolate is melted. Stir well.

4 & 5. Drop a spoonful of chocolate over the caramel and sprinkle with salt.

– 2 c Pecan halves – 16 Caramels – 1 c Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips – 1 T Shortening – Sea Salt
