– Clean your piece, preferably with Dixie Belle White Lightning Cleaner, to remove dust and grime.

As with any good restoration, prep is key. Remove drawers and hardware.

Give it a good scrub to remove any oils, dirt or grime. Use White Lightning from Dixie Belle if your project needs a good cleaning.

I also rubbed the whitewash over the hardware to tone down the gold and give it a lovely softer finish.
